Director of Technical Education, Assam has published a notification for the recruitment of 168 Grade III vacancies in various institutions. Details of the posts are discussed below.
- Junior Assistant
Number of Posts – UR 35, OBC 16, SC 2, ST(p) 2, ST(H) 4, EWS 4
Educational Qualification – Candidate must be a Graduate in any discipline.He/She must possess Computer Skills & proficiency for handling data and text on Computer.
Pay band: Rs.14,000-60,500 + GP Rs.6,200/-
2. Junior Instructor
No of posts: UR 31, OBC 24, SC4, STP 10, STH 8, EWS 4, PWD 2
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have Passed HSLC or TSLC & having Certificate from ITI or equivalent in appropriate trade with 5 years of experience in the relevant trade. The experience must be from Govt. recognized organisation.
Pay band : Rs.14,000-60,500 + GP Rs.6,800/-

3. Scientific Assistant (Physics)
No of posts: 11
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess BSc with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Preference will be given to candidates having Major/ Honours in Physics at Degree level.
Pay band : Rs.14,000-60,500 plus GP Rs.7,400/-
4. Scientific Assistant (Chemistry)
No of posts: 11
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed BSc with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Preference will be given to candidates having Major/ Honours in Chemistry at Degree level.
Pay band : Rs.14,000-60,500 plus GP Rs.7,400/-
Age: Candidates must not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years of age on 01.01.2020. However, the upper age limit relaxation as per existing Govt. rules.
